It matters where you get your information from

Followers of Dr. Mercola, who has been well-known in the alternative health space for decades now, have noticed changes in his business in recent years.
According to a report from a journalist for Natural Products Insider, Mercola has been on daily video calls with a spiritual advisor who goes by the name Kai Clay and talks to Mercola while channeling a spiritual entity named Bahlon. Yes, this is real, you can read about it here.

The information he allegedly gets from this spirit directly influences what he teaches. It's reported that he fired his CEO and several other top executives from his company based on revelations from Bahlon that he must conduct an “anti crusade” against them because of their commitment to the Catholic church. He has apparently defended his connections with Kai Clay, planning to write books on his new revelations and believing that the new information will save the world.

I have a couple friends who recently had the opportunity to meet Dr. Mercola and visit his home. One of them told me that his house with full of New Age symbolism and had a very dark feel to it.
Anthony William, who goes by the name The Medical Medium, has millions of followers and has worked with many celebrities. He started the trend fo celery juice cleanses.

He also openly advertises that he recieves his information from the "Spirit of Compassion".

Of course, some alleged communion with spirits is false, simply claimed for the purpose of garnering money or attention, but we should assume that much of it is legitimate- only these spirits are demons, and their aim is destruction. If we know demons plan spiritual destruction, could they also be working to mislead people into physical harm?
Bryan Johnson, the biohacker who spends $2 million a year on his longevity routine, eats a plant-based diet, and takes over 100 supplements a day, has recently announced he is building a new religion based on his goal to not die. He believes AI is going to find the answers to defeating death.

Has information from Mercola, the Medical Medium, and Bryan Johnson helped people? Absolutely. Is much of it true? Probably. But it’s also clear there are parts of their messages that could be harmful.
The Medical Medium promotes a largely plant-based diet, which is fundamentally based on a false solution to the problems of sin, and long-term leads to nutrient deficiencies and overexposure to plant anti-nutrients. Celery, as a true vegetable, is high in plant defense chemicals and there are serious concerns, as well as plenty of anecdotal reports, of problems from such concentrated exposure.
These are just a few of the more blatant examples of the false spiritual roots to much of the health and wellness information available to us. New Age movements, Seventh Day Adventism, and even just evolution and humanism play a major role in what the world eats and believes about food today. It’s why we need Christian nutrition, based on a Biblical worldview.
It's why I study nutrition completely within the lens of my Christian worldview and wrote my book Eat by Faith: Nourishing Yourself and Your Famiy in Light of Creation, Dominion, and the Gospel.

Thank you for this! I used to follow & subscribe to Dr Mercola for several years preceding Covid. He had great & helpful info and he was always willing to retract opinions on topics when he learned new info. He was great at citing studies & other references. He not only shared health & dietary info, but also political concerns with civil rights involving health or freedoms. About 2022 or so I noticed his articles were less well written, less or sometimes no citations. Someone commented about this & I agreed. I got banned from the site. It was all very weird and sad.
But I am SO grateful for meeting you in Wooster this year & reading your…
