The Biblical Nutrition Class

When I first had the idea to teach Biblical food and nutrition classes for Christians, I knew this was the most meaningful thing I was equipped to do with my deep interest for nutrition. I decided to forgo expanding the low-carb class I had been working on and teaching for over two years to focus on this new endeavor.


I have so much passion for sharing this information because it pains me to see Christians mislead by worldly information and their health suffering as a result! 

I started teaching the Biblical nutrition classes in summer of 2022. The class started when my spiritual mentor Nina and I put on the first class together for women in our Navigators ministry group.

I continue to offer these classes for in-person groups or online. The class can be for church, family, or community members. It is designed for believers but includes practical information that can apply to anyone and includes the Gospel.

Classes are no-cost but donations are accepted from attendees through Patreon to cover the costs of travel, materials, and time. I am located in New Jersey but I am willing to travel for in-person classes with at least 6-10 committed attendees (depending on location) and offer online classes for at least 6 attendees. 

For in-person classes, I love to offer a homecooked meal or snacks that demonstrate elements of the class, and to offer samples of some items discussed in the class such as tallow and bone broth. I also offer printed handouts with additional, relevant information and some "show and tell" items. These offerings are dependent on the host's desires and facilities. 

Classes cover:

  • The history of false religion influencing our food and dietary guidelines

  • Modern takeaways from the Old Testament dietary laws

  • The solutions in God's Creation for environmental and animal welfare issues

  • Understanding proper human dominion in food

  • How some foods may make it more difficult to live out certain aspects of Biblical wisdom

  • A Biblical perspective for distinguishing healthy and unhealthy food

  • Traditional food preparation methods

  • Science and Bible-based discussions of meat, fat, sugar, dairy, grains, weight loss/management, and fasting

  • Simple steps to improving the quality of food for your family

  • How a Biblical perspective of food can help us know God better and experience deeper community

The class can be taught as a single two-hour lesson or a three-part workshop that includes a fun, short hands-on cooking demonstration (if facilities allow). Not all information is covered in the two-hour class.
